CMM 2002 MIAGAO, ILOILO

The medical mission to Miagao, Iloilo was a wonderful success. The five day joint mission served nearly five thousand patients. The medical, dental, and surgical teams were busy providing the highest quality of healthcare. The preparation and organization by the local coordinators was outstanding. This year's group was a perfect blend of young and old.

Under the leadership of coordinators Adiodato Palmos; Rosario Ocampo and Lirio Palmos, M.D. and the invaluable assistance of the Palmos Clan; Mayor Jerry Flores and his staff; Rural Health Officer Anthony Montalban, M.D.; P. Trono (Guimbal) District Hospital Chief Antonio Garibay, M.D. & staff, the Miagao Nurses Association, Sprint and numerous local civic organizations, the Miagao mission was very successful.

During the five-day mission, several thousand patients from 30+ barangays received free medical/dental/surgical/cataract services and prescribed medicine & vitamins. Mr. Adiodato Palmos presented a brief report on the result of the joint effort and the estimated value he various multi-specialty services.

May God bless each and everyone who reached out with compassion, providing the needed medical assistance with great compassion and respect for the dignity of each and every patient touched.
